A guide to Sales Agents territories

Please bear in mind that we cannot be specific to county boundaries, as each Sales Agent will interpret the territory they work depending on where they live and have good contacts. The boundaries shown on the map are therefore for guidance only. You must enquire of each Agent exactly which counties they work, and then offer them the list of counties that fit with any adjoining sales territories. Where you provide us with a list of counties you require to be covered, we obviously select Agents who are most likely to satisfy your requirements.

A: Scotland

B: Northern Ireland

C: Eire

D: North West England

E: North East England

F: Wales

G: West Midlands

H: East Midlands

I: Northern Home Counties

J: East Anglia

K: South West England

L: South East England

Do not worry if you occasionally find that you cannot get any of the adjoining Agents to work a specific county, this happens quite frequently. The most likely counties to be omitted from you coverage by Sales Agents are; Powys, Oxfordshire and Hampshire.

London: With the exception of Greetings Cards and associated products, London is not normally worked as a territory. Some South East Agents will go up to South London, Some East Anglian Agents will go down into London, and a few Northern Home Counties Agents will also work some of London. This is always a difficult one to resolve.

Wales: This can also be a little difficult, as it is often split-up. Around 50% of the North West Agents will also work North Wales. Some of the West Midlands Agents will work either North Wales, or South Wales. Also, around 35% of the South West Agents will work South Wales. It is usually better to appoint these two territories first and then to see what you need to do about Wales.

Ireland: Most Irish Agents are based in Northern Ireland and work the whole island. However, some Northern Ireland Agents only work the north, also, some Eire Agents only work the south. It is usually better to place a general order first and once you have appointed an Agent, if they do not work the whole island you can then look for another to work the empty portion.
